The "Simposio de Análisis Económico" is an annual international conference in Economics that has been taking place in Spain in mid December for over 30 years.

Most sessions are in English, and the quality of the papers presented is very high. During the Simposio de Análisis Económico there are job market interviews, as well as dedicated job market sessions.

The "Royal Economic Society Ph.D. Presentation Meeting" is a yearly meeting for economic departments or institutiosn wishing to recruit PhD students seeking jobs either in the UK, Europe or the rest of the world.

The event consists of two days of students' presentations.

Participating Institutions have the possibility to conduct job market interviews during the conference.

Participation in the event is open to students who have submitted a PhD thesis within the calendar year 2007, or anticipate submitting a PhD thesis before October 2008.

Since 1990 each year, The European Association of Environmental and Resource Economists (EAERE) organises its Annual Conference. The activities of the Annual Conference include keynote speeches, policy panels in plenary sessions and papers presented in parallel sessions. Every four years since 1998, EAERE's Annual Conference is held within the World Congress of Environmental and Resource Economists.

In 2008 the Council of the Association jointly with the Local Organizing Committee has launched for the first time a call for implementing a European Job Market for Environmental and Resource Economists. Thus, during the Conference the institutions looking for candidates will be able to conduct job market interviews.
